Some people created lots of real nice stone towers along the river Isar in Munich. Seems like one started and inspired everybody else to participate. Hope it will last for a long time and not swept away by the next flood.

Wait for your money
My bank account enables me to use ATMs from 4 different banks without extra charges. So I never have a problem to find one. After using all of them several times I have a clear favorite – HypoVereinsbank. Why? Cause it only takes a minute to get your money by hitting 5 buttons. 4 buttons to enter your PIN, one to select the amount (which is usually 50 Euros).
Other banks require you to hit up to 10 buttons until you get your money (same amount of 50 Euro). It might be not that big of a thing, but if you count the number of people that can get money during an hour it’s less. If your ATM is at a good location in the city center (and assuming there are some people that have to pay fees) it’s better to offer a fast system to get as many customers as possible.
What are your experiences with ATMs?
“Deutsche Post” say’s thank you
For more than one year it is possible to print out stamps on a home computer. Deutsche Post has a software to print them on any ordinary printer. Two weeks ago they released version 2.0, which didn’t have many improvements that I would need. So, because it would cost € 10 to upgrade I did not choose to go to the new version. Then, last Friday, the Deutsche Post sent me a package with the new version. First I thought I had opted for regluar updates. But after reading the letter in the package, I new it was a gift for using their service so extensivly over the last months. Thank you Deutsche Post.
Update
For those of you who also want to use StampIt and don’t want to pay for it – check the free registration until October 31st.

Reboot 7
I am very crazy about going to Reboot 7 the next weekend (June 10th – 11th). Lots of good speakers from around the world. Don’t know yet what to expect. More to come soon. [Update] Reboot was great. A lot of new ideas, good speaches and nice people. What impressed me the most was that nobody talked about money, business opportunities, or even VCs. This was good because the people, community and the technology used had been in focus. Some ideas may generate money but that’s not the main focus of those people. They are passionate (like David Heinemeier Hansson of 37signals) about development, crazy about the new web (Christopher Locke), or just into the web. My conclusion: go there next time again.
